    help with MICROMAG

I received one of the recent 'last of the bunch' micromag bodies and a benchmark grip from Pro Team Products today in the mail, and I can not get it to work.

I took apart my old mag--I had an "old style" trigger frame with the grooves, and emag rail, and a ULE body. I took the trigger assembly (forgive me if I don't know the correct terms for these pieces, I am a mag novice) off of the old rail and tried to put it in the Micromag body--it wouldn't fit!!! It was too thick for the oval cutout.

So I grabbed an ancient Proline"autoresponse" grip, took out the trigger assembly, and it seemed to fit. I installed the valve, tightened up the screws, aired it up, and...nothing.

What do you guys think is the problem? Do I need to buy an RT trigger assembly...This autoresponse trigger fits, but it may not be catching/enagaing the valve. Am I right? I have had a miserable week at work, and I'd like to get this working by Sunday, so I can at least forget about the last 5 days, you knwwhat I mean? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

PS: The old emag rail's cutout is a slight zig-zag/oval, but this micromag is an oval-ish shape with half of the cutout only milled through. Is this supposed to be like this? Is that what is preventing the full movement of the trigger?

your probably going to need to order a new on/off pin ... the ones from the emag are .712 and the ones ffor the rtpro are usually .750 - .765 , you might also consider ordering a new sear as well (dont get the rt sear with the needle bearings it wont fit) .

The micro mag bodies require a classic sear assembly for manual operation. If you want to use the emag grip frame, you will need the body spacer and a micro-emag sear assembly.

The on-off pin length required for the micromag is much shorter than for a standard mag. The micromag needs a .675" pin. Classic mags ship with a .750" pin.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thanks. I'm going to go to a store today to get parts. The gun airs up, I push in the sear assembly (right behind the trigger) and nothing happens. This "autoresponse" sear is the likely culprit. Again, thanks for your help.

that must be an emicro that requires that shot of a pin

I think both the micro and the emicro take the same pin. The emicro needs a shorter pin, but the use of the body spacer allows it to use the same short pin as the micro.

I Just got a PTP micromag body too, I'm trying to use a classic Micromag valve, I am having problems with the valve not shooting correctly it seems that when I gas it up it shoots the first couple of shots fine and then it starts shooting on the trigger pull and release, it also goes into full auto on some pulls, I tried slapping the valve into my tac-one body which has the older style RT PRO rail had the same problems. COuld it be the on-off pin length?
