AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Probably pop at the fitting but not split unless it gets damaged. They have split for some people though. That's why the stainless hoses are still around.
I keep my X-valve around 950 psi for 13 - 15 bps. Better flowing regulators can start at a lower pressure. As the marker continues to shoot, the pressure drops until the reg can keep up with the flow. If your bottle reg can't keep up, your pressure drops too far and you loose your string, so you only get two or three bounces which is not as much fun.
you need to buy an adjustable tank regulator. the flatline does it but there are other alternatives. you want to be able to set the pressure going into your gun at about 900-1000 psi, your xvalve can handle it dont worry, but just to be safe all around, use stainless hoses instead of macroline.
the higher the pressure going into the gun then the higher the reactivity of the trigger....
I've hit a sustained 20 bps with a broken in ULT (shimmed) and a tank set to 1200 psi output. Emptied an entire Vlocity in just under 11 seconds. You need the higher psi to get that sort of speed. That is Rob from OA Paintball in Bowie MD. He shimmed that tank to increase the output psi after seeing what a AGD Flatline reg did for mine.
You will get fast speeds out of the regular x-valve on/off. I did the entire hopper in 10 seconds like that (1200 psi) and it chuffed more than once when the Vlocity could not keep up with the marker's rate of fire.
Get yourself a steel braided line (expecially a shrink-tubing wrapped one) for your marker. You will be happy you did, especially if you wait until your macroline blows out before making the switch.

I have a pair of recently purchased Flatline regs on 68/4500 bottles and they can be adjusted up to 1200 psi. I am not sure if the older models could go up that high or not.

Alright thank you :) now I want to see a video of that 20 BPS and 11 sec Vlocity hopper.
Is there any tutorials of any sort or videos on how to tune your ULT?

That's on my list of things to do. Might be a little while before I get out to play paintball. I have a new son as of yesterday.
Tuning the ULT is pretty easy. Just add shims. Too many and it will either not fire or go full auto. You can use Lvl 10 shims. A Lvl 10 shim is twice as thick as a ULT shim. My rule of thumb so far has been 6 ULT shims.
