    spring pack question

First off, I know I've asked a bunch of questions that a bunch of you guys think are child's play. I just want to say thanks to everyone who's replied with good advice.

My new question is about the spring pack. I bought a new one to drop in with reg piston in the valve I'm intalling the lvl 10 bolt on.

Which end of the spring pack goes into the valve first (against the reg piston)? Also, the two spring packs I've taken out of my valves have a washer on one end and the new one doesn't have this. Is this just an update to the part?

    Thanks again

I assume the valve is a retro valve if it has 2 spring packs. I don't think there is a front or back for either spring. They are ground flat on each end. I don't recall a washer at the end of the spring pack either. Maybe someone has put one in.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Look at the spring pack on one it is is solid , the inner shaft attaches to it , that end goes into the velocity adjuster . So the end that has the disk that moves goes up against the regulator piston.

        I quickly realized this was a stupid question . . .

. . . it only fits one way. The next tread might make a little more food for thought. Who knows, one day I might be able to field some of these questions for the next guy who finds something hidden in the basement for a decade.

Thanks again for all the advice
