Chuffing with x-valve, ult and hyperframe setup

Shoots fine until i really walk the trigger, then i get chuff, say after every 4th-5th shot.

X-valve has a lvl10 bolt setup with 2 shims, no leak and the carrier isn't tight(bolt stem slides nicely) and the bolt doesn't stick in the forward position when it chuffs. So i would assume no bolt stick in that regards.

The ULT has 2 shims in it, no leaks and, like I said, it shoots fine until i really hammer on the trigger.

I would assume that my problem is the ULT and the result of short-stroking? But with a Hyperframe I would have thought, such a thing wouldn't happen.

Any solution to this? Would I be better off removing the ULT altogether and using the regular on/off that comes with the x-valve?

Was thinking of going with a pneumatic frame setup, but I don't think that will remedy the chuffing problem.

    Just a thought....
If it is a case of the solenoid short-stroking for some reason, (theoretically) could moving the solenoid up the sear, emulating the sear mod, reduce or eliminate it?

Probably going to be your settings. I had this exact same issue when I got mine.

    Check here:

I got the best results with these settings. Same setup as yours but I had more shims in the ult.

    IS: 4
    FD: 1
    Fn: 5

I've never seen settings as low as yours before.

My current settings are, I think: (Frame not in front of me)

      IS: 10
      FD: 50
      Fn: 35

I'll play with the settings more...but would have thought what I had was more than enough? Or have I got it backwards and should be lowering FD and FN? Not too sure what FD and FN really does or how it affects the noids operation.

If you read through the FAQ there is a discription of the settings. All I know is I had the same chuffing when I got on the trigger, and these settings fixed that issue. Give it a try and see what happens.

        Edit:
I found the thread where I got these settings, so they were working for more than just myself.
