ok on the calipers i got .35in and an 11/32 drill bit is the largest size that fits and there isnt any resistance on it. i asume you talking about the classic r/t banjo right.Originally posted by lukeCan anyone tell me what size hole to drill for a banjo bolt? -
o now i was talking about the rail, the frame is .355. not too much difference and i dont have a drill bit size like that. sorry i didnt reply earlier, i keep forgeting that i have manualy subscribe to threads.Comment

I hope that guy has a valve that can take a ULT, or has the Centerflag On/OFF.Originally posted by lukeYes.
That is on your frame, right? (Sorry I forgot to specify)
I have a guy that wants me to drill a Hyper Frame for a banjo bolt...
/my $.02 sorryComment

Humm, I didn't think about that, I'll direct him to this thread.I hope that guy has a valve that can take a ULT, or has the Centerflag On/OFF.
He wants me to mill the wings off his frame and drill the HF for the banjo bolt. Won't the length of the banjo bolt come into play here because of the frame thickness?
I've never attempted a mod like this and don't have the parts on hand to study, any input would be appreciated.
ThanksComment

Centerflag used to install hyperframes on Classic RTs for like $500 back in the day. I dont really know what exactly they did to make them work, but im sure it involved using their on/off somehow. The frame hole 'should' just be a matter of making the hole large enough for the banjo bolt. You might want to check with Rogue on that, but im almost certain.Originally posted by lukeHumm, I didn't think about that, I'll direct him to this thread.

This guy would be much better off altering the RT body to take an Xvalve IMO. Easier, less BS, and less potential for issues.Comment

hmmmm, im not sure how thick the back of a hyperframe is, with the whole rail air channel and the banjo the depth will have to be within a few thousanths otherwise it wont seal right. unfortunatly i dont have the classic r/t frame measurmant as ive shaved mine down when i was doing a minimag body conversion (which really didint work as whell as i hoped).
actually there is way to calculate by taling measurnet with the banjo in the valve, the subrtacting the rail thickness and the body thickness. should produce a rough nuber that shouldent be off more than .002, ill get back to the thread on this in a minute.Comment

ok just did the measurments and i got .261 for the frame thickness. .260 should be fine, if the banjo doesnt sit on the frame its not a problem, mine doesnt and its fine. idk if you started drilling the frame either but i was checking measurments again and i got .35 instead of .355Comment
