My progress on my EP CF Framed Mag

Here's what I've done so far: I milled enough material to fit the battery and the MPA-3 in there (You don't have any idea how much I would like to have a mill... that dremel is nice but...

A $10 ion board is on its way now. My only real issue is the solenoid... I can't find any . If any one knows where I could find an SMC S070C-SDG-32, that would be really appreciated.

How essential do you think would be a QEV to substain the 17 bps delivered by the stock Ion board?

You should call an smc distributor. They should have one.

Well, I'll find a way to put a lock washer or something... I wondered when someone would point that out .

          You got PM...

also, you'll have to cut another 1/8" off for the 9v terminal connector unless you hardwire the battery without a connector. I had no problem hitting 20bps with a SMC 113 noid and no QEV, I can only imagine the S070C noid can come close if not match that.

nice work! the SMC S070C-SDG-32 will cycle easily at 22bps in full auto, 24 is the max it will cycle ever with or without air and no QEV's. i have a video of mine up if you want to see the gun shoot, i used that same noid.

I saw your work. That's what inspired me on the use of the S070C-SDG-32.

And thanks! Your just answered the question I had about the QEV. I don't think I'll have enough place to put one in there and I was worried about the ROF. But since you say the solenoid can reach 24bps without a QEV and that the Ion board can only shoot 17bps, everything should be fine without a QEV.

And 17bps is more than enough; aferall, I'm sponsored by my own wallet.

                I really need advices here.

I didn't find the 0.5 MPa SMC Noid I was looking for but I found a 0.3 MPa one. Do you think that 43 psi would be enough to activate the sear with an RT on/off or I'd really need that extra pressure that'd get me to 72 psi?

                Thanks.

I really doubt that 0.3 MPa would be able to push the sear effectively. I could be wrong, but I don't think it will cut it. I am using the 0.5 MPa solenoid and I have to use the ULT to get it to run smoothly.

Give a shout to Latches109 as he set up an electro pnuematic mag using the smc solenoid rated at .3MPA. He should be able to help you out.

That would be a nice idea for a small bottle setup... but I'm using an 88ci. That would probably look awkward and be uncomforbale.
                              Thanks for the input though!

I found a noid and it's on its way. But I begin to think I've been screwed concerning the board since I didn't receive it yet... damn PBNers .
