I'm wanting to get a parts finishing station setup for less than $150 in equipment. I'll probably use the setup 6-8times a year doing one or two guns at a time. I have a 20lb CO2 tank that I intend to use as the air source for the airbrush. I'm guessing I'll use a Stabilizer or 2Liter reg from one of my guns for the airbrush. I'm not looking for fine detail. The finest detailed job I can see myself doing is a digital camo design.
So my questions are simple. What's the best airbrush for this use? I know I'd like something that I can clean rather easily. I destroyed the one given to me for toy models and such when I was kid. One use out of it and that is the extent of my knowledge of airbrushes to this day.
I plan on doing tan and gloss black with a gloss clear coat for the first few runs of this airbrush. I read enough to know that I'll need TruStrip to prepare the parts but I haven't found any good advice on when to use the other products offered, such as reducer, hardener, and retarder. I figure I'll learn the usefulness of these additives as I go, but do you guys think that it's useful enough that I should purchase some now?
THANKS GUYS!
