    benchmark w/ A-5 electronics

Well, I got a free benchmark frame and A-5 e-grip guts for $20, so here's what I've got:

if that pic's too big lmk

The stroke of the solenoid is less than the sear's stroke, so I made a lever with an allen key. I had to mill with a drill and a dremel, but I had time to burn today so it was cool. Anyway, there's enough room behind the allen key for the board, and the ROF and Mode settings can be accessed via a hole a previous owner made for an MSV-2 (or something). The capacitor will fit under the noid, but the battery will have to be external, maybe I'll make a foregrip for it.

The allen key can fit in the trigger arm, so it's possible that this can be hybrid like an e-mag.

One thing I'm missing is a trigger, but I'll probably figure something out. I regret not buying one for $2 when action village had them on sale.

Yeah, I think someone tried to pneu it. But instead of cutting the actuator they cut the frame, and without the right tools. But it's cool, I got it for free!

      Update:
I've made panels that I will cut and notch to hold everything in place. I might have something working by the end of today!

keep us posted on your progress.
I'm interested in how this noid works on a Mag.
i may be building a double using the noids from http://www.goapeonline.com/
which are pretty much the same... i think...

I think APE sells both the tippmann stock tri-tech one and some other one they market as their own. The APE one is probably stronger. But the cheapest place I found for tippy noids is tippmannparts.com

Shop TippmannParts.com for the best selection of paintball markers, upgrades, and mods. Enjoy fast shipping on all orders, with free options starting at $89!

$60 for the APE board with tippy noid, $70 with the APE noid

Oh and I didn't get anything done today, I was playing halo and lighting tennis balls on fire. It was awesome you all need to try it! Cut a slit in a tennis ball with a knife, and fill it like a quarter full of lighter fluid. Drop a match in. Depending on how big the slit is, you get a constant flame. If you squeeze the tennis ball, it goes FWOOM! Anyway, yeah. . . it was hecka cool. Oh and if you get a 1.5" PVC coupler, a 1.5" male plug, a firecracker, and a tennisball, that's cool too.

Well, if you measure a pyro by the hight of the flames he makes, I'm about a 1/15th of the pyro you are!

Anyway, I've decided to make a frame/casing for the solenoid. It will be clamped, for vertical adjustability, to the front of the grip frame. I can also adjust the horizontal position with washers. I don't have much to make the 'noid frame out of, but I'll find something. . .
