    E2 ebalde?

So im at work and looking at parts laying around for cockers that are probably gonna sit in back until the end of time and picked up and E2 eblade frame for a cocker. upon first glance i didnt think much about it but then i remembered someone saying the mounting holes line up between the cocker and the mag so my question is has anyone ever tried doing a E conversion with an E2 frame or even an E1...it looks like with a bit of modification it could work.

EDIT: if this is the wrong place for this thread im sorry i just thought the tinkerers (sp? ) would be the ones who knew

Someone has done it. I remember seeing a post about "Making a Better Mag".

The very LAST section of that article (which was on the AO as well as PBN) showed a guy with an E1 frame mounted to a mag. It didnt go into specifics of it or internal pictures.

But for some reason it mentioned the MQ valve,... which I cant see how a mag could benefit from just a bolt on application.

Scroll down to #7. Didn't say much about the conversion but good luck with it. Please keep us informed if you can make it work. This could possible be another alternative to the Spydermag.

It should work if you cut off the sear leg and the noid rod is long enough. It's basicly the same idea as the HyperFrame except the Hyper pushes on the leg left to right and the E2 would push on the back of the sear upward.

that was my inital idea at first too however if u have one handy u will notice that the noid is really forward in the grip meaning i think it would be hitting the front of the sear the part that comes down during a cycle and releases the bolt. Also the capacitor(sp?) seems like it would be in the way of the sear moving but im sure with some soldering that could be moved somewhere else. Either way i think u would need to rotate the noid so it hits like that in a hyperframe/spydermag/etc. theres also a lot of "loose" metal at the top. meaning a lot of metal pieces held in place by screws that if remove there will just be huge open gaps not sure if anything would be left over to hold the noid in place or anything...ill try and take some pics tomorrow and post them and see what ya'll think

I am going to use an E2 frame for my next conversion. I was going to make it EP though. I was going to mill it out to take an ego board and make room for the piston. Not sure if you can make it an electro the with mod or not. Ill get off my butt and get going on it soon and get some pics up.

unfortunately i forgot to bring the camera with me to work today but ill bring the frame home and take some pics...Airassault, i think u might have the right idea using an ego board in the frame and makin it EP...might consider that route myself. The idea was cool to use as is tho, i thought even with the breakbeam eye u could go stealth and mount it under the body or something...oh well...might keep this is the maybe file for when i get a nasty workshop set up

I'm at work right now but will run home later and shoot some pics of the inside of mine. I took the noid out today to replace my fried hyperframe noid so that's a start. Pics to come.

I need to mill out the bottom of the noid holder if you will to fit the ego board in. Every thing else on the board is exactly the same and in the same place. I figure I wont need to take a ton out to get the sear enough room and fit the mpa3 in. I need to pick up a noid and LPR then Im golden. Need to get off my butt and do it lol.....

Ok, before I even finished typing all this I decided to get started. I actually didnt need to remove as much as I thought. I need to cut the noid box out at that corner to both get the board in and make enough room for the MPA3 to slide forward (back lol). I will cut just below the set screw you see, there is a matching one on the other side. I will then open that area at and above them a bit so the mpa3 can actually be sitting on a ledge. I will use the 2 set screws to clamp it in place. I still have the part that sat on top of the noid and will place it back where it goes, plus it has the holes for the front grip screws. I drilled out the slot that was already there and the sear has more than enough room to move.

A better look at some of it. Of course all that hack will end up being cut out.

Pic of the sear in the correct, ready to fire position

Here are some pics without every thing in the way:

off to www.airsoldier.com to pick up a noid unless someone reading this has an extra they want to part with. I have an older Angel Speed reg, does any one know how low those can go? If not, I need an LPR, any one? Ill give it a few days, post in the wanted and if not, off to the bay and AS.
