    Using diff trigger frames?

Besides using an ego or spyder lower half, are there any other grip frames that are similar to ego that i could potentially use? The reason im asking is because, i cannot for the life of myself, find an ego lower half to use since no website seems to sell upgraded grip frames for egos..

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ion or shocker frames, did you check ebay?? there are always a few ego star frames up. honestly you can mod just about any frame you want and make it work, just need to be smart about your choice.

So aside from the fact that ions/shockers have hoses that run from the board to the can and such..Im assuming that those hoses get redirected to the capacitor and all that junk and install a sear? or am i missing something here?

look there. nothing is stock ion in that frame.

            Evil,
I have read that thread numerous times before as well as the few other emaggo threads that explain how this mod is done. The thing that im confused about is which hoses go into what part...Granted i do know how to take markers apart and fix them, i just dont fully understand what the three lines really do..

Shocker frames fit almost perfectly, and if you want to stay mech, you can gut 'Cocker and Sheridan frames.

ok there are only 2 hoses.

first hose is the supply air hose, this is reg'd down from 900psi to ~130psi. this hose goes to the solenoid inlet port from the low pressure reg.

second hose goes from the soleniod outlet port to the Actuator that pushes the sear. this is the reg'd ~130psi air.

the third port is just an exhaust port and no hose is needed, it just vents the ridiculously small amount of air needed to power the actuator after the actuator stops pushing.

the actuator is single action, meaning it only has 1 air inlet and is returned by its own internal spring and obviously the Mags recharge force via the sear.

in an EP gun mod the board is only controlling the solenoid. the board uses a set dwell time 7-12ms, that is the duration the board sends power to the solenoid. one cycle happens inside of that time frame or one shot. the board also controls the shot type so say in semi every time you pull the trigger the board sends power to the solenoid for 7-12ms(i use 7ms but some use as high as 12ms). if you used full auto the board just repeats the process on its own after each shot is over and within the specified BPS setting.

solenoids only open and close, basic 3 ways like the ones i use are the same action as the mechanical ones you would use for a regular pneumag. it opens one port and closes another to route the air where you want it via the hoses.

i hope i explained it well enough for you, if you have any other questions dont be afraid to pm me ill try my best to break it down for you!

I love my shocker frame, needed a bit of filing and drilling but everything was mostly good to go.

Thanks boys! im going to hunt for a shocker lower half since it seems that those and ions are most readily available...but will keep my eyes out for others as well...Any lower halves i should avoid? Just so that i know lol. I know angel grip frames are a nuisance due to its trigger placement from what i read on that one thread.

I'm not sure what to steer away from, but if you like the Logic UMF's, Ydna might have a couple USF's left (Ultimate Shocker Frame). I have both a UMF and USF, so trust me when I say it's comfy.

                        quick question...

IN terms of the regs...if i decided to use an electro lower half that doesnt have a reg attachment (IE: DM's, PMR, etc), how do i manage to get the reg attached to the marker? would i have to modify the grip frame so that the reg is attached to the grip frame and go from there? or is there another way??

Ive been into this for a while now so let me put my 2 cents in.

                            The best choices are
                            -Ego Frames
-spyder and spyder clone frames (with work)
-Shocker frames (With a little work)
-ION frames I suppose although I refuse to try it.
                            -Raceframes

DM, Angel, and Timmy frames are all very tough to mount actuators in. (Although not impossible with some ingenuity)

The ego frames are pretty to do, since the board and all the electronic components are there already. You just have to add the noid, which fits right in.

06 Ego Star frame on ebay currently.

The Ego's are pretty easy to mod and look the cleanest - at least in my opinion...

Contact Loguzz as i know he has a few premodded frames that he has to sell.
