Hyperframe Switch Mod, any input?

I have a 20bps Semi-only Hyperframe and I wish to mod it. However, I like to keep things stock looking. So I really don't want to ditch the LCD board. I saw this video on youtube, I want to do this mod.

I was thinking that he did some switch, relay mod...I am not sure. I am wondering if anyone has any input, or ideas? Thanks =)

I contacted the video's author and he gave me advice on how to do it, and I completed it. Now I have an auto-response hyperframe trigger. =)
