    Pnuemag: Great with Classic Valve?

I've been working on my Pnuemag for quite some time. I currently have a classic valve. I did alot of reading and contacting people who were some of the first people who did the mod and the general consensus was the Classic Valve was perfectly fine for the mod and the reactive trigger of an X-valve was useless. It was also recommended to me to install a RT Pro On/Off assembly, which would increase the recharge rate on the classic valve.

I was just curious if this is still true? Should I try and buy an X-valve for my Pnuemag or is the Classic Valve fine? Any other advice?

From what ive heard, installing pneumatics to the mag will remove the reactive part of rt's n x-valves. So usin a ULT would be pointless if usin pneumatics.
Also, the RT on/off shouldnt affect recharge of the valve. The on/off serves to lighten the trigger pull if installed in a classic as well as add a bit of the reactive trigger, so u dont shortstroke as much.
The only way to affect recharge is to get an rt valve or x.

I think what they meant by rt on/off rechargin was that by installin the on/off the trigger the sear/piston reset faster allowing for faster rates of fire. Probably:P

If your going to change your valve for your Pneumag, it would be cheaper to buy a used Retro valve rather than buying a new X valve. There's plenty up for grabs in the Misc paintball items section, most of which are going for around $110. You don't need a ULT as the performance gains are at best negligable.

The Classic valve should do fine - as long as you keep it on HPA and don't take it above 13 bps you won't have shootdown issues. I've even heard of 16+ bps out of a Classic valve without shootdown.

Classic Valves will work fine with an RT Pro On/Off in them instead of the Classic On/Off. You'll want a Level 10 bolt as well. If you want to use an RT type valve, look at saving some dough and getting an RT/Pro or Emag valve. You can get them just north of $100.00 with a Level 10 in the B/S/T.
