    Kicking myself in the pants

Alright, i picked up a trilogy comp for about 65 bucks, and as I was putting a spare drop on it and re-teflon-taping the air line threads I believe I overtightened the regulator (front grip, not the micro reg) while tightening the 90 deg npt fitting and busted the o-ring, so I get a nice leak when I air it up where the reg screws into the marker. i've just about run my hands raw trying to get it off, even went out and bought a strap wrench... im begining to wonder if i'm turning it the right way, righty-tighty lefty-loosy right? haha

    Any Ideas?

    Righty tighty lefty loosey indeed.

Try giving the threaded area a nice tap and then keep muscling it.

Its more than likely just the oring keeping it in place, Gorilla that thing off!

you could try soaking the reg in ice water to cause the metal of the reg to contract slightly. Just be sure to let it dry and give it a good relube before you shoot it again.

not a bad idea, i'm gonna try getting one of those no-slip grip pads they sell for opening jars and give that a try...

I think im gonna put a stabalizer on it anyways, so I figure worst come to worst I can just take it to my machinist buddy and have him put a hole through it and torque it off with a steel rod or something haha

          Victory!

          Man has triumphed over machine!!!

Finally got it by combining a "Fresh Fruit Pad" (some sort of foam mesh thats supposed to keep fruit fresh, it looks like the stuff you put on toolbox drawers to keep tools from sliding around) and the strap wrench.

          Thanks for your suggestions gentlemen

          *edit*

wasnt actually the o-ring either, totally bunked one of the threads on the reg, luckily it still works and the frame threads aren't harmed
