    Angel Frame Mag

Im going to be getting a ULE custom mag hopefully in the next few months and the first thing i would like to do is make it electric. I've read about the spyder mags and want to know if I could to that inside of a angel G7 or G7 fly frame I can get from a friend. It is the vertical frame. What would be the best way of doing this if it can be done? By modifiying the spyder parts to fit or is there a better way with a vertical angel frame?

There have been Vert eframes for mags. Someone has one, it's red/black I believe, with red plexiglass grips. Possibly a Mod on PbN, but somebody owns one.

The use of the angel vert gripframe is not that difficult. However if you intend to use the LCD board your going to run into issues involving the amount of space left in the grip frame. Being you'll need to add an actuator for tripping the sear, a solenoid and batt. A lot of stuff to try and fit escpecially since the stock board pretty much fills the entire grip. Oh and I forgot to mention the addition of an LPR too...

You could solve a lot of space issues using a more compact board. But I'd look into planning where your going to fit the parts then proceed into making it come together.

I think you could solve a lot more issues by simply going electric. Use a pancake solenoid, board, and battery. Or, you could get a UTB from scenariodreams. They're super compact.

when you say to simply go electric to you mean using a spyder frame and internals? The angel vert frame is completly empty becasue he got a 45 frame for it. Can the UTB be put into any grip frame or is it only made for certian guns? I'm looking for the easiest may to make it electric but have it look different. I thank you for all the help so far.

UTB stands for Universal T-Board lol, it's UNIVERSAL.

The problem with this mod is mounting a ram to actuate the sear. Pancake noids aren't even an option in an Angel frame. The fact is that Angel frames have a section missing from the left side of the frame at the top. This makes it pretty much impossible to mount any kind of actuator to trip the sear. Not the best frames for doing a Mag mod.

Not necessarily the best frame for doing an electric mod, but not too terribly difficult for a plain mech mag conversion or with more work a Pneumag conversion. Would take work, but doable.

Ive done an EP conversion using an IR3 frame,.. its hard.

As stated,.. the trigger was the worst. Ther just is no way to use the angel trigger as is for the micro switch. You need to cut it down and mount the micro switch in the top side or tap a set screw and feed it in from the back.

The MPA-3 ram isnt too dificult to mount,.. but I recommend NOT cutting it down in the front. The extra brass is needed to put a set screw in on the right side because of the gap warbreak was speaking of.

You need a small solenoid, and a UTB. If you need to order the electronics (boards and such),.. let me know. I have a few.

I have a G7 frame on my mech mag. I'll take pics and get them up later today.

Edit: pics are going to be crap. Only found an 7 year old webcam.

                    Edit2: They're bad.
