well i want to make a tank turret for a tank my friend is building and have decided to use an automag for the guts because i love the dependability and am allergic to smart parts. (specificly the ion, which everyone seems to use for this sort of thing) but i hate having a hopper on top of a turret (really just throws off the look) so im going to use a warp feed in a box magazine like on a saw. now in the specops forums people have done this and just turned an ion upside down and stuck the feedtube in the feedneck and the rest is history. but with an automag you cant do that because you have to trip the sear from the bottom of the marker. so my idea is to drill through the bottom of the rail and through the body of a mag to replace the top feedneck. (would propably use a ss body so that i can do some welding to attatch and clean things up) i would then cut off the old feedneck grind the body smooth and cover the hole with some light sheetmetal and grind smooth. i could then put a tube through the hole i drilled to smooth the path for the paint to travel, and conect that to the body whil i was at it. but the questions i have are
A. do you guys see a flaw with my ideas so far.
B. is there a easier way to make a gripframe work other than making a custom one that would sit farther back on the marker, because i would be drilling through the front grip screw and part of the frame (also getting dangerously close to the trigger, at least on a hyperframe which is all i have with me at the moment) even if it didnt mar the trigger mechanism (trigger specificly) it would make it difficult to put your finger between the feed tube and the trigger to fire.
C. are the am/mm rails aluminum, i think they are and if so i might have a problem because i would be drilling such a large hole that i would either greatly weaken the rail if not break it in two. and i can only work with steel when it comes to welding.
D. just though of this, since ill be using a ss body for this i would need the twistlock pin too be in the rail. could i fix this by haveing a fixed barrel (modified to feed from the bottom), or even better a fixed twistlock to autococker adapter.

your imput will be very appreciated and thanks a bunch in advance
