    Working Aluminum

Anyone have some tips on working with 6061 aluminum for a novice? I need to shave 1/8" from the inside of a Benchmark trigger frame. I've been going at it with some dremel grinding wheels and such, but it's making slow work, so I'm looking for some additional recommendations.
    I went like this :shooting:
He went like this :tard: then like this :wow: then like this
Now he shoots a Mag too...

Yeah, that's probably more than I want invested in this project. I paid $100 for the mag, and then have another $120 in Pneu-parts, so I don't want to spend more than $30 on materials to carve this out.

I guess I'm looking for recommendations for bits, or grinding wheels that would fit into such a tight space and can be done by hand. Yes, it's going to look like a 5year old did it, but if I wanted something that was professionally done, I'd buy a new marker rather than spend the time working on this. It's a project, so I'd like to learn by doing, I guess.

I'm taking an old RT with a Benchmark frame and doing a pneu conversion. The channel in the top of the Benchmark frame isn't wide enough for the piston, so I have to remove about 1/4" total from the back of the channel. If I screw it up too badly, I'll order up a new frame. Until then, I'm going to keep hacking at it, I guess.

Now where did I put that chisel and mallet?

Yep, I've done a several dozens or more of of those.

I'll sell you my old BM frame cheap if you end up needing it.

Do you have one for an RT? Is it already milled? I'm tired of trying to do this by hand now... what are you going to charge me to clean up and finish what I've started, or for the BM frame milled out properly??

Is it a coincidence that the abbreviation for BM is also Bowel Movement?

Just be careful. I have a benchmark frame I got for free due to it being crapped (BM. . . ) to hell by someone trying to do a pneuframe job. It's pretty ugly. I think it would be worth sending to luke.
