    Solenoid Comparison

So I'm doing another EP Mag Frame and was about to buy the solenoid, but thought I'd see about getting a comparison between the two that are most widely used:

    SMC SY113A-SG-PM3

    &

    SMC S070C-SDG-32

I'm using the SMC S070C-SDG-32 in my egomag frame, and it works well, but I like that the SMC SY113A-SG-PM3 is normally closed and that the fittings are on opposite sides of the noid, plus they're removable. I have no idea about a performance comparison though.

    thanks.

I'd also like to know just in general, what makes one solenoid better than another. There are so many choices on ASP, and after reading some of the stuff on Ydna's site, I think I'm leaning towards a small MAC 3-way. High-flow, high-speed, small size. But would really like to know things like how long different noids last, maintenance requirements, etc.
