    Ion in an airsoft shell

After seeing a ton of people do this, I am interested in copying it and seeing what all I can do but I have a few questions and issues I'd like out of the way before I start

    1) I Live in Canada. This shafts me pretty hard. I'm looking at about 70$ for a cheap, clear plastic version of a spring gun to gut and scrape together. Are there any other online retailers rather that buyairsoft.ca?

    2) Does anyone know exactly how fragile a low end airsoft gun is? Right now I have the feeling that I'd be shot twice in the marker and be very, very angry.

    3) If I can't find a whole airsoft gun, what are the chances I could find just the shells? Realistically that's all I need are the two halves (Since they look like they're no more complicated than nerf guns) this would probably be easier

Thanks for throwing in what you can.

http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-1110...rsoft-gun.aspx would be exactly what I am looking for but I can't seem to find one in Canada.

my friend and I are going to do this with his ion, I'll ask him where he's planning on getting the shells, iirc he said he could get the shells alone for $40.

And he had some links, I think it was a thread on "milsimempire.com" I'll get that too.

alright so the only cheap airsoft gun i would use would be a p90 cause its hella small and has low surface area and is basically the only one which wont crack after getting hit by paintballs. if you wanna use any other body i suggest investing in a mbk(metal body kit) there available for most types of airsoft guns and usually cost between 50-100 dollars

^^That was my friend, btw, no way would I use so many bananas unless I got an X-mag or something. . .

I think I'm going to give up and hit up my local gunshop for any one off/cracked stocks and work from there. The hassle of having to deal with the border/etc for any of the "illegal" airsoft stuff is just way, way too much to justify on an experiment

            Lol at this guy.

Just get a cheap springer rifle. There are no screws where they shouldn't be. If you get a cheap springer M16/M4 for example, it still breaks open like a real M16/M4. And they are NOT brittle like squirt guns. They have ABS plastic shells, they won't break. I don't know what this joker is talking about.

My friend and I have started our ion P90 project. The plastic seems pretty strong, but I'm worried about having to remove a lot of the screw placements. I'll upload pics eventually.

The border is just too much of a hassle so I've decided to work on a bit more plausible idea, and simply use a m1 stock

warbeak2099 dont be such a tool.

It seems like some of the points I mentioned became valid.

Go spend a hundred hours dropping your marker into a springer body.
