    Rip Clip on a Tac-One

Long story short my first paintball gun 8 years ago was an Automag before I went mil-sim and ran a few A-5s. Well 8 years later I've come full circle and want to get back into a Mag. I'm trying to keep it somewhat tactical though since I'm still a scenario/woodsball guy so I came up with the brilliant idea to mount a Rip Clip onto a Tac-one (or any Mag for that matter). I figure the Rip clip keeps it somewhat low profile without having to go with a warp feed and it will do 20bps.

Only problem is the little I did know about the gun when I had it really doesn't translate into any kind of working knowledge for a project like this. So I'm hoping to turn to people that know the marker way more than I do and hoping that can get me at least a working plan to make this happen.

So far I'm still at square one so I welcome any input about what kind of Mag I should be focusing on. My thinking is that a Tac-one with a warp feed to the right would be a good starting point that would require the least amount of modification but I don't actually have one to tinker around with so I'm really left to just speculate on my own. About the only thing I'm sure of is that I'm going to have to get some kind of adaptor plate machined to go in between the marker and rip clip.

So if anyone has considered something like this or maybe even heard of someone doing it please feel free to post. Right now I have kind of a blank slate until I can learn a little more before throwing down the money for this project, so any thoughts or ideas are welcome.

    Thanks for any help

rofl... its BT's electronic version of a cyclone feed found on the a-5 (which is a marker made by tippmann... but who really cares about tippmann)

It's an interesting concept, but the form factor always seemed wrong.

No, he means that the BT Rip clip is powered by a modified HALO loader. It looks like a Tippmann cyclone, but it's actually a Halo loader
Powered by HALO the designers of the world's fastest loaders, the BT rip-clip uses a modified drive cone and unique body to deliver a truly impressive feed rate. The rip-clip supplies the fuel you need to feed your electronic BT! This is for BT4 paintball guns only

or... you could just throw a halo on the feedneck that comes with the marker...

You know it never dawned on my to mount an elbow like that. That is a much better idea, and pretty much exactly what I was going for. Well I guess this thread accomplished kinda what I was going for and saved me some time, just not how I expected.

it'll only work with a force feed loader though... but that is a pretty neat idea!
