    More Monkey Business

First some crude tools. A switch and battery from a gutted Spyder, a light bulb from a car, and some wire. An Automag Simulator is kind of handy too if you have one laying around.

Alright, enough talk. Lets light this one up and pass it around.

Thats a strange looking noid.. but will it move the on/off valve in the mag.
also i dont think that 9 volt will last long when its pushing a on/off pin.

And when you up the amps to run the noid for a stronger push i think your find that you will melt the micro switch . so go down the relay route.
the micro switch runs the relay , the relay runs the noid.

There are much better noids out there bud.

Noid? what noid? There IS no noid.

Look at his rig again. The battery is only there to power the light. I do believe this is a test to show how light the trigger pull is on the Cheater box.

Zap! That's a cool valve simulator. Not having something like that has bugging me. What length On/Off pin are you simulating?

Edit: Note the video, the pneumatics are actuating Before the light is, indicating that trigger pull is lighter than the spyder switch.

It's a tough comparison though because a spyder switch would normally have some lever force applied to it. Then again, he's operating the trigger very close to the line of operation for the pneu switch so the lever force should be minimal.

That was the lightest feeling trigger switch out of 3. (They all felt pretty much the same tho). I held it up at the trigger pin to eliminate any leverage anomalies. I am pretty much pushing right on the trigger pin. I was goofing around seeing how light the trigger was and wanted to see if the gun fired first or of the switch clicked first. Then the light bulb came on over my head! It will easily fire with a much lighter switch because firing the gun barely budges this switch.

The simulator is simple. Those are rubber bands wrapped around those two rods sticking out. It's nothing special, it just works the sear thru it's normal range of motion so I can test cheaters. No specific trigger pin length or anything. Just a 1/8 rod thru a hole lined up on the sear with a big top cap on it. It was originally finger powered but I added the rubber bands later to free up a hand to work. I still use finger power most of the time to "feel" how its working.

I just thought it would be fun to demonstrate that a Pneumag can in fact have a lighter trigger than an electro!

I should probably get back to work instead of playing with the camera so I will leave the "on gun" testing up to you guys.
