    X-Mag Feedneck Mod

I recently acquired my first X-mag and I am in need of a clamping feedneck to accommodate a prophecy loader (not sanding that guy).

I need to know how to perform this modification.
What feedneck do I need to purchase to fit into the module after the stock feedneck is removed?

I used a CCM older angel feedneck, it seemed to fit the best. all you do is dremmel out the shape of the bolt , make it a lil bigger, and put it in, and use the 2 set screws to keep it in place.

So no tapping/adapting required? If not, excellent!

Any advice for removing the stock feedneck? I hear it is a royal PITA due to the machine-pressed fit.

      Thank you very much!

my local shop did mine for me. No, there was no tapping required with mine,. just took out the 2 set screws, put it in a vice, and i think they used a strap wrench.

he dremmeled out 2 arcs to match the bolt, put it in, set screws hold it just fine. you just need to make sure the feedneck you used fits in snug, and not loose. some have diff size tubes.

So far, the CCM Mid-rise is the leading contender for the right geometry. I'd hate to buy a feedneck and find out it doesn't fit, but it seems I don't have much of a choice.

use a CCM 2" mid rise in angel thread and make sure you dremel the arches exactly as on the stock Xmag feedneck. Put it in and tighten down the set screws. VOILA! adjustable feedneck

Okay, excellent. The most difficult part is removing the stock feedneck...an attempt with the strap wrench failed. I'll have to tackle it with some more rigor.

If you happen to have one of the CCM 1.5" mid rise angel feednecks available in gloss black, please shoot me an email with your paypal address and then I can really get this project out of the way. Regardless, thank you(and tbaggin of course) for the info.

something like this but shiny and new the 2" Mid Rise feedneck (perfect for Xmag mods) and perfect for a larger necked hopper (prophecy/rotor)
