    ULE Body Pump Milling

    Hello Gents (and ladies?),

I've got a question for ya'll. Is there any stickies or threads that go into detail about pump milling, in particularly for a ULE body. I've found this link but it makes no mention of what you would have to mill the ULE body for to mount a pump kit to it.

Would anyone be able to help me out?

from that post I took it as you only need to enlarge the slot on the body the rest is in the rail... next few pics shows the pump kit installed to the rail not the body.

Theres are a few other links. If I wasn't on my phone I'd link them for ya. As for what mods are needed, the body and rail need to be milled to accommodate the cocking rod and as for mounting the pump assy. Just about if not all are made for am/mm rails. The wings can be removed to be installed on a RT rail but that in itself requires a longer cocking rod to work properly. I'm sure XM 15 can make you a RT style pump kit to include the rest of the milling if that's what your going after.

There are a few others like Warpedmephisto, Rainman and Luke that can get the job done for you.

As of right now, I've got a milled rail, and a LF AGD body. I'm just looking to make it a CF pump. It has the XM15 pump kit at the moment, so I believe I just need a body milled.

I'm still trying to pick up all the mag terminology here too. What style are am/mm rails?

They're the standard mag rails. The rails that came with the automag and minimag SS bodies.

            Ah, gotcha. Alright, cool!

Does anyone know how wide the body sear slot needs to be milled?
