    okay
if you are looking for a master mine get out your trusty copy of APG look in the field store directory find D&M sports in Sullivan Il and give them a call (ask for Greg)...I know he had them for around $35.00 a while back.
and tell him Richard from Level X suggested you call them.

get a wireless doorbell. When you hit the button it sends an impulse to ring the bell. You could just rewire it to move a servo or something. That would be alot cheaper than $100.

people...POST ON THIS THREAD! NOT MINI TANK THREAD!

and no i don't plan on equiping a gun to the r/c car. servo idea i'll look into but paintball combat is develouping a paintball landmine that will be out in a few months. So while i wait i will try using servos...if i can find one that is. Then i gotta buy an antenna for my remote controller. so far all i got is a long *** piece of aluminum foil on a metal stick as a remote controller.

this is my current ideas. I will have a plexiglass sheild protecting the front of the car (well...cardboard if i can't afford the plexiglass). on the car i will tape down or glue down a block of wood with a flat surface to be used as a platform for the mine. On top of that i will have the remote controlled mine. If there is a spray hose i will just aim that towards the front.

So i will get to work on making this look more profesionnal while i wait for paintball combat's remote controlled landmine to come out.

Hate to burst your bubble, but this WILL NOT WORK. Your makeing it a point to use that R/C Car rite? Thats like a cheap toy r us type car. I'm not saying its a bad car, but not even my nitro powered traxxus truck can handle the job your asking for (sorry I'm blanking on the name of the truck) throw the body on the car, then get a good sized mag lite. Usually about the same weight as a land mine. Duct tape it to it and see how slow it is. I weigh 300 pounds but I can run faster then that.

The only way you could get this to work is to build a car from scratch, seeing as you don't know what a servo is/does that is out of the picture.

Also, you have to look at the distance the radio signal will reach, which would probably be with in veiw point of you the guy with the radio, and at that point they would proabably open up on you.

Good idea, but not very likly. Sorry.

                ...1 second

                big pack of CD-Rs. (100)

...SH.IT! gosh darnit!..o wait the r/c car was turned off =P

                1 second...

well...it works fine to me with a stack of 100 CD-Rs on it. lemme put the stack on a scale to see how much it weighs...

well since my bro is hoggin the bathroom i gotta wait. but i can tell you this. the stack of CDs was a lot heavier than a mag-lite and is heavier than the r/c car itself.

ok since this electronic scale needs 10 pounds to activate it. i had to push the disks down on the scale adding around 3 - 4 pounds on the CDs. so i assume that stack was over 5 pounds.

this isn't one of those CHEAP CHEAP toys are us cars. they were made a looooong time ago when it was quality work.

i tested the range and it was pretty decent. looking at the field i will use this on (Hyperball at Badlandz) the range of this car is plenty to get to a bunker on the other side.

build a car from scratch??? i would say no lol.

progress as of now on Operation: Moving Bomb -
all electronics are now sealed and protected from any damage.

plexiglass will be looked into tomarrow at my local glass/mirror shop.

wood platform is no problem since there is a stack of cut wood on my driveway from remodeling my kitchen. (nice thin piece of plywood should do it)

for the mine...i contacted paintball combat. they are in the designing stage and semi testing stage right now.

You can pick up some plexiglass at home depot or lowes, or whatever you prefer. I suggest putting some plexiglass on the sides too. Maybe if you had a solenoid, a ram and a LPR along with say a 12 gram, and you hooked it up to the antenna of the RC car or something maybe you could make an extra button in the remote control :P
Also the best way to masuer wieght on a scale is to step on the scale while holding the cds then step on the scale without holding anything and subtract

Yeah, that would be expensive though, I think this is what you would need

+ a ram, and a LPR, and knowlege of electronics and circuts and stuff.. that would be a hard way.

Here ya go, Remote control rocket tank

As spongebob said this prolly couldn't hold the mine BUT it has all the parts to remotely activate a mine. Mount the turret and electroncs to your car and use this seperate control and servos to activate your mine and such.
