    ASA Thread problem....

When I was screwing an elbow into my Bullet Style drop forward I crossthreaded and stripped the threads of both the elbow and the ASA.

    How can I repair this?

    Drill and Tap

The only way I can think of to repair this would be to re-drill and then re-tap the hole hopefully salvageing the accident.
    I love the Intelli Z-Grip!

Don't drill it. Try "cleaning up" the threads with a tap (it should be 1/8 NPT).

        Thanks guys.

I was talking to the dude at my local pb shop and he gave me directions to a machinist. First thing the machinist said was "what the hell is this thing?"

I'm like, "its a high pressure air on/off."

Looking at it he goes, "well, the threads are f'cked I'll tell ya that much. Metric or standard?"

        "Standard"

        *two minutes later*

"Thats that. The teflon tape should keep it sealed up."

        "You sure?"

"Well how much pressure is going through this thing?"

        "About 1000 psi."

"What the f'ck are you doing with that much pressure?"

        "Paintball"

        "Ohhhhh..."
