Is the xchamber connected with macroline (plastic) or steel braided hose? either way first degas your gun, then...
If its macro: push the line into the fitting then pull out. This should release the compression fitting.Next remove the reg by unscrewing it (counterclockwise). use an adjustable wrench to remove the macroline fitting from the reg, ir this is difficult, use another wrench or a vise or something of that nature (put some sort of cloth around it to avoid scratches if you care). Next remove the old teflon or loctite from the macro fitting, retape it, and screw it into the new reg. Screw the new reg into the ASA (clockwise) and push the macroline into the fitting (be sure its a snug fit). You may need to get a new peice of macroline if the old peice is too long or short.

If its steel braided: take an adjustable wrench and try to turn the fittings at the end of the hose (to see if they're swivels or not), if the fittings rotate, simply unscrew them from both ends, remove the old xchamber, put the new reg in place, and replace the hose.If the hose twists just remove the bottom line from the gun (screws in the bottom of the grip frame), unscrew the xchamber, and remove the hose from it. Now screw the free end of the hose into the reg, screw the reg into the ASA and re-attach the bottom line to the grip frame.

No, no, no guys...




Theres one with a 90 VA, see the plug on the underside of the body? The stock expanson chamber screwed into that.
It puts the new verticle regulator WAY forward, just imagine an assualt block on there..that would be CRAZY to far away in my opinion.

But, another option you didnt condider is SpydrVnm's VA, it comes angeled in 15 degrees and straight, but instead of it going into the front of the bottom tube, it screws into the port for the old expansion chamber.

Also...1/8" helicoil for the brass plug in the first post, then you could use a fatty internal old spyder VA, or a minicocker ASA....it may leak easily though, and I have never seen this done.
