    New to Paintball

Hey all only been out paintballing a few times but I am real interested in making my own gun. I need some help though as I know next to nothing about Moding these things.

    1. Where can I learn about Markers? I need the basics to the advanced, knowledge is gold you know.

    2. I will read through these boards to try and get a good feel for putting a gun together but any basic tips on figuring out how to tell a good Modable gun from a good non Modable gun would be appreciated.

    3. What type of price range are we talking about for a top of the line gun?

    4. Any of you guys use Mirage paint like this?

    Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, this should be in paintball talk.

Top of the line would be an X-mag, angel 4, e-class orracle to name a few. These will all run you about $1000-$1400. Then you'll need a decent hopper $50-$120 and a nitro tank $200. So a working high end gun will go between $1250 and $1720.

    Never heard of mirage.

Just look into both sides of every arguement. See what tippmann people dont like about spyders and vice versa, for instance. But most importantly, try as many guns out as possible. Then buy the one that feels best.

        simple

I would recommend starting with a simple marker, learn it, learn how others work, then consider building up. It can get pricey and take a while too getting parts.
