My Spyder takes timmy bolts :)

MY S- Timmy

took me about 10 hrs and alot of dremel work, some polishing and then a good trip through the rock tumbler.

tell me what you think or ask questions just thought i would share

[bleachit]

very nice, what body style did you start out with?

[paintballbeaver]

esprit / imagine easiest to do

[personman]

Thats awesome! Now trade for my mag!
j/k, seriousally you are talented with the dremel. My hands shake wayyyy too much to do something like that. I hate seeing people like you and people like, say tysonmachado for example, who can carve the heck out of something and make it look good :P
Then I pick up a dremel and whatever I touch with it explodes

[Hephaestus]

Nicely done on your spytimmy!
Are you running it on a LP setup?
Did you do anything on your valve too? (wanna take a peak at what you did )
Any improvements on the cycle rates.
I like the overall radiused look from the rock tumbler.
Got any tips to share as to how you protected the internal threads and front end.

Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Wow beaver that is really nice, makes me want to buy a spyder for a backup instead of a tippmann lol.

spytimmy

All i can say is sweet... You should try and put a timmy grip frame on it next, would be cool.

[Impuls]

That requires replacing all internals with timmy internals and then drilling a couple of holes, ghettotatching a LPR to it and then you'd need an entier clammy frame w/ noid, board, etc. Unless you can get all the parts used it's expensive. But spyder timmies are pretty cool. It's fun to see the looks on Timmy users faces when they see a spyder ripping just as fast as their timmies.

MEh
timmy grip frames dont have sears

[paintballbeaver]

well everything from a timmy will slide right into this gun asa lpr, and ram asm. and yes even the grip frame bolts right up.

[paintballwannab]

dude thats sweet, kinda wanna try that with a impulse bolt got the dremel and got the spyder, what new creation can i make, lol

[Tobe2be]

ok i shoot nothin but mags. just want to know what are teh perks of having a timmy bolt. dont bash me i just want to learn. thanks

[ramenjames]

why did you pass it thru a rock tummbler?

[paintballbeaver]

well to try and answer all your questions at once..

first off impulse bolts wont work w/o lots of modification..
(i chose timmy bolts because there exactly the same as spyder bolts.)

the bolt dosent offer much besides the fact that its delrin and it is top cocking. it just was more or less a joke to poke fun at timmys for being such a high priced joke of a gun... (now i'm not saying there a bad gun but they are a spyder based clone. now, yes they shoot fast yada yada yada my matrix is better and so were my mags.)

I passed it thru the tumbler to smooth out an make the metal look better its not a very high quality metal so the sandblasting would have picked up lots of dirt..

[paintballbeaver]

sorry for not responding to these threads sooner

um over all pressure i was running around 300-400 with some super light or sumtimes no valve spring i can get it to cylce at 200- or below but i really have to tweak it and then the efficecy drops...

cycle rate has increasted quiet a bit 20+ with out problems

lot smoother action and less recoil have come out of it..

valve set up is stock. now dont hate i am using a piarahna cup seal and pin, lot better recock at lower pressures because instead of just being cut on the top its also cut on the bottom..

you really cant get much better flow out of anything else unless you do some serious mods..

and check back my current project it creating a pimp rain maker
