It isnt that hard. I havent had my model 98 open in a while so it is hard for me to know wether these are possibilities, but here are the two ways I think you could do it. You can have a rod threaded directly into the hammer, and there are kits sold to do this. Or, you can make it external, so you can cock it back, but really all you are doing is pulling the cocking rod that is already there back. This results in a box on the side of the gun. They are both sold, you dont have to make one if you dont want to.

Check out my (old) setup at palmer-pursuit.com, under "custonmer stabilizer setups" and let me know what you think.

1 drill hole in plastic end cap
2 drill hole in rear of back bolt
3 take off old cocking knob if you want to
4 take a metal rod with threading at one side and screw into hole in back of bolt, or attach it some other way
5 put the rod through rear spring and hole in end cap
6 bend back of rod up so you can pull back easily, and make custom beavertail
*i thought of this in a few minutes so not garunteed to work and i wont take any responsibility if you ruin your bolt/endcap and have to buy new one
