    an eletric frame conversion?

ok well i know very little about e.frames....strict mech user for along time (untill i get my x-mag (far off) so im just tinkering with my 1st marker (pmi piranha btl) and i took off the frame and i was wondering if it could be converted in to an e.frame...well i was thinking about it and i dont want to spen tons of $$$ on it so buying a new one is out...and i dont think i want to buy a circetboard either...so ....

i came up with a more cost effective way
ok well it is very simple ....ok at first you have the 9v batt. in the frame (is gonna requier aome dremiling to get it to fit) and a soloniod to move the sear (insted of the mech way) and a button to activate it on the frame sitting behind the trigger (like on an e-99) all of these are hooked together and when the button is depressed it would complet the circit and activate the noid..causeing the intended result of e-frameness (i think it would end up being full auto if held...because nothing would close the cicit after each shot)

ok now the question...will this work? (i dont want to butcher my frame and buy a noid if their isnt a chance of it working )

I looked into something like this for my mag, never got it done although. I think there is a large risk of burning your soleonid if you accidently hold the trigger long enough, and it might not shot if you just tap the trigger. The good thing is that it's not very hard to make a simple timing board, without any microprocessors. Just a couple of reasanobly cheap components soldered together. I'm sorry, I can't remember how I planned this, but it was doable. Maybe someone else can help?

figures... I had the exact same thought in my class today, even tried to draw up some ideas... where were you thinking of putting the noid? I thought of using the stock sear in my spyder and placing a noid near it.

too many electronic frames. Make a pneumatic one instead.

use a ram to push the sear and a 3way to toggle the ram.

simpler in the long run and you dont have to get into electronics.

if you want to get really complicated you could exchange the drive spring in your spider with a ram and then your spider would be entirely pneumatic. the only problem is that you would have to change the valve pin to a non blowback version.

if you are interested in doing this you will need a drill press, 3way valve, LPR, and a ram suitable as a drive unit.

i would suggest going to clippard and clicking on their cylinders page.
