Do you want it polished black or polished silver? Black I dunno, but for silver, you can strip the anno off and then polish.

Stripping anno is easy, buy a big ole bottle of Drano Max Gel. Put it in a big non-aluminub bucket thing and soak your parts for a few minutes. Take them out after like 10 mins or so and wipe down with an old rag, cause this will mess it up. Put back in the Drano. Repeat until the anno is gone. Warning- Don't get it on your hands! Also, don't leave it in too long or you will start to pit whatever you're stripping. Also, this could mess with your tolerances slightly. You might want to cover the top and bottom of the rail and the top of the trigger frame with something like rubber cement or fingernail polish. Something that will leave the original anno on it. Anyway, after you're done stripping (pun intended ), get yourself a polishing cloth or two, some Mother's polish from the car section of Wal Mart or wherever, and polish away till it gets shiney. This could take a while, but you already know that if you've done the body . The unannoed aluminum might start to oxidize some after a while of being uncoated, but you should be able to get rid of that with sandpaper, more polishing, whatever. You can actually just use some Red Devil Lye, diluted, in a bucket too. I don't know about plastic buckets, but in the metal one I used it sorta messed with the finish. I don't think it's too bad though. Oh, and be sure and post your results!

what you can do is check out a tread in WARPIG .type in mag polishing and it should take you to the tread .I polish all my gear start of with coarse sand paper and work your way down to smooth grit .Try wet sanding it will be alot easy, also a spry bottle of soap and water will
help wet sanding try starting of with 320 400 450...etc grit and work your way all the way down to 600.Once again from 600 to 800 thru 1000. once you are done use a buffing wheel and some white rouge .Your mag body will be bling bling......good luck
give me an inch..and ill take a yard...paintball is not a hobbie it's a way of life

really, if there is no damage, nicks , dings or scratches on the rail, there is not much need for sanding. if you have a grinder, you can buy some buufing wheels and some polishing rouge. the white is a medium rough rouge. there are actually four rouges you can use to take it to a mirror finish.

if your local hardware store, or auto paint shop doesn't seel the rouge and buffing wheels, try mcmaster carr online.

I will definitely recommend you wear rubber gloves and safety glasses when stripping anno, and wear the safety glasses and leather gloves, along with a good qualitydust mask. you DO NOT want to breathe the silica particles that become airborne when you polish metal with rouge.
