    Retro valve to inline reg...

I think it would be an interesting idea... alot of work though.

    Would this work?

Remove on/off valve, seal the hole, remove powertube, reduce size of dump chamber, add on ASA threads somehow...

Also it would take some variations to the spring pack for a better range of pressures, right?

I don't even have a retro valve, or any capacity of making something like this... but can anyone deny it would be a cool idea? Or since I don't own a retro valve am i missing out on somethign totally required for it to work?
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Kicked the idea around with someone else here a year or two ago, or a little while after AGD stopped making the original RT. The idea was to use the leftover skinnier RT reg bodies for the inline and just make new valve bodies to screw them into. I'd still like to see how well it works or if it would have to be tuned to each application or not. I don't know how the RTs full pressure recharge method would work with a larger post reg volume.

edit-- found the original thread here. It was about two years ago.

why would you want to do this..?
it would be no different in function than every other in-line reg out there.
The only reason the RT valve can currently recharge faster than the calssic is due to the on/off pin's relationship to the rest of the regulator.

      out!
