    Air-powered hopper

I have a tippmann 98c which can easily be tapped for air to run the RT which I don't have. I do have a revvy though but I was thinking about tapping the powertube and using it to power a ram in the hopper so I didn't need batteries. But I can't think of a way to get the paddle to rotate. I almost need a rotary wankle thing or a turbine or something, without some sort of racheting mechanism, which I could get off a gear wrench I guess...

But I was wondering if there was a website with little pnematic rams and stuff.

I would suggest turning a cyclone into a package that can run on any marker with a correct tap hole. If you hook it up to a poppit on any gun you could stick it on.

very interesting idea. when I get home later, I'll draw up a sketch of what I'm thinkning.

Basically, have the air push the ram that pushes the bottom of the hopper impeller. I think you'd need a gear, and I think the trick of the whole thing is to make the ram have a ratcheting tooth that retracts when is goes back to it's original position. Small spring will do this. And, to have the ram return to it's original position with a spring.

This probably dosen't make much sense, but I think it will when I draw it.

another, easier way to have an air assist, not power, is just to route some microline from the exhaust port to a hole near the feedneck of your hopper, this should help agitate the balls and make things easier on your revvy

I was thinking just some small ram , that returns after each 'pulse'

Cut the end off a cheap gear wrench and hook onto the axle of the impeller servo-horn style. Drill a hole to fasten the ram too.

Hook the ram up and it now spins when you pull the trigger.

          But first you need parts.

Check out mcmaster or a bearing place- they make a one-way bearing that ratchets. The bearing would slide on the shaft of the revy paddle. Like you say have a air ram hook to the arm which pivots the one-way bearing. You will end up ratcheting the paddle around and depending on the length of arm can control the force.

It is better that people think your a dumb@$$ then for you to open your mouth and confirm it.
