OK, new topic: which frames are compatible with other frames from other markers, and which need adapters or, better yet, have them available? I've seen Trixes with spaceframes, people looking at cocker frames on mags, all that. Who has had success mixing and matching, and what complications did you come across?

Hole patern for Mags, Cokers and Angels is 4.125" So those are mostly interchageable. As for the other markers you mentioned, I wouldn't really know.

wait, so technically a mag, cocker, and angel frame are interchangeable, minus the internals?Feedback: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...hreadid=105565

Hmmm...This is an awsome thread!
I always wondered if i could fit a Spyder electronic frame on say a PT Extreme...anyone??

I belive spyder frames do fit the PT Extreme.
And as far as the mag cocker angel, then yes, Internals differ, but the hole spacing is the same. Thats how you get the sandrige F5 cocker with an angel frame, or the mag with the hinge frame.

Very cool.... Ideas a-brewing.... what about Spyder Frames and Cocker frames?Feedback: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...hreadid=105565

Spyder frames are 5.1875" So they are bigger than a cocker's. You can always take out the spyder frame's internals and transplant them to the cocker frame.

Now you're one the same page as me
Any thoughts on a good setup to have the noid move the top of a cocker trigger? I would probably shave off the trigger part itself so the noid is what is moving the 3-way and sear (so yes, it would need timing) and set up a seperate trigger that could still perhaps be on the same pivot point to activate a microswitch. I was thinking of using either the new samaraui (spelling) trigger or a Timmy-style trigger with the microswitch place up in that spot in front of the trigger where a little metal clip usually sits to reset the trigger. Again, alot of "what ifs" but along the lines of what I was aiming for when I started the thread.

If you want the solenoid to actuate the sear and then the 3way you need to use a cam system. You basicaly need to make a mechanism similar to the autoresponse trigger.
On the solenoind pull you would actuate the sear, and on the release you would actuate the 3way.

I happened to have an Angel LCD frame and a spare RT pro rail lying around and the holes do not line up. They are close, but you would probably have to drill out the front hole in the angel frame, or a new hole just in front of it, to get it to fit a mag rail.

My mistake on the angel frame, i got one too and found that it is indeed shorter by about 1/4".

I decided to go with one anyway and just drill out a new hole for the front frame screw as well as drill out the rear hole to fit the rail bushing. Then again I had access to an old angel lcd frame to hack up that someone gave me. Not much of a loss if I messed it up too bad. In any case I got it to fit, although I'm sure the Rogue or Logic frames would work better for a professional install, this one was made to fit on the cheap for my do-it-myself electro project. If the concept works then I can always go back and improve it for cosmetics

If it doesn't fit, make it fit !

What happens when you mix an angel and a mag? You get a mangrel. It didn't want to fit, so I took a drill press to it. Granted, I did this to an angel frame that had a fried board, over hacking up my perfectly good mag frame
I plan to put electronics in the angel frame as part of my experiment into making an eframe for the mag. If it works out well I may go on and transplant the innards into a better frame.
