    Delrin pressure rating?

how much pressure can delrin hold? is it as much as aluminum? and would delrin be a good amterialfor bodies?

im pretty sure it has a lower burst pressure than aluminum, and wouldn't be the ideal material for a paintball gun, if you are looking for a plastic body, look into polycarbonate or g-10 with metal inserts, also delrin is pretty soft, I'd be worried about denting or accidentally cutting a hole in it somehow

You could do metal sleeves in the delrin that would most likely work. I know that works for cocker hammers. I dont know why it wouldn't for bodies.

the problem is that metal inserts would kinda defeat the purpose of a delrin body, to have low friction

not if the insert was inside, it would hold the pressure and let the delrin on the outside maintain it's frictionless benefits
