    It shouldn't,
my best guess would be that the timing might be different for both triggers, that could maybe somehow effect it.

the only think i noticed different is that the hole that you hook the trigger to the vavle system is sort of reversed

your hammer lug isn't catching the sear right on the hinge.

ya either the sear isnt catching the hammer, or your timing is a little off, and the block is pushing the hammer back before the hammer hits the valve all the way

Well, I can say for sure that you need to reverse the tubes coming out of the 3-way as a hinge trigger will push the timing rod forward while a single trigger will pull it back. Try that.

You are putting a hinge trigger frame where your slider frame used to be, correct? If so, you must reverse the two tubes. Right after you shoot does it open, or close the back block?

If you are replacing a stock single trigger frame with a hinge....

The 3 way hoses on the front and rear of the 3 way need to be reversed.
The single trigger is a slide trigger , so as you pull the trigger it makes the 3way rod pull with the trigger.
With a hinge the 3way rod actually gets pushed forward as you pull the trigger.
Swap the hoses , retime , and you will be set.

ya dude u have 2 reverse the hoses, cus with a hinge it pushes into the 3-way, instead of a slide frame, which pulls on the 3-way, so the hoses r reversed. didnt you read you instrctions MR!

They are all making good suggestions. Try reversing the 3 way hoses. Front and rear lines on some trigger frames need to be reversed. If you have already done that, then move to the next topic they covered. Check your lug catch to the sear. Adjust the Lug till it locks firmly into place on the sear. No two frames are alike when it comes to that, so it maybe that the sear is lower in the frame on the Swing and the lug needs to be dropped down a little bit more to catch it properly.

If you have done both of those, and it still messes up, PM me with a little more detail and I will see what I can do to help you through it. But the two topics they mentioned above are both correct. Try swapping the hoses first. IF that desnt cure your proble, then check the lug. If that doesnt cure it, you will have to give a bit more detailed discription as to what it does and doesnt do when you pull the trigger.

                          Later

You will almost certainly need to reverse the 1st and 3rd hose on your 3-way, as well as adjust the length of the actuating rod. When I put a 2nd gen WGP hinge frame on my otherwise bone-stock '99 RF, I discovered that the timing rod needed to be adjusted, although it's been long enough that I can't remember which way.

Once you get this done, however, you will really be able to time the marker much tighter, and you can really rail on it by pulling high on the trigger, nearer to the hinge point.

If you feel particularly adventurous, before putting the hinge on you may remove the trigger return spring, which will give you a super light return as the trigger will be reset solely by the sear.

Or, just take it to your local pro shop and let them do it - but see if you can watch....

                            Good luck-

ok i finally became unlazy and did it, not only did i need to switch the hoses, i had to set the sear and adjust the cocking rod to the block, so when putting a hinge trigger on an old cocker those three thing need to be done.
