    idea

hey i got an idea, it probably won't work, but whatever

you put a trigger stop on the trigger- set it to a certain point - then weld a piece of metal onto the trigger rod as close as you can to the trigger. will this work or am i an idiot?

Why not drill and tap a hole behind the trigger, then install a set screw. This will give you a adjustable stop. This is how it's generally done.

wont work because when you disassemble the marker there has to be a space between the trigger and the rod (about the thickness of a credit card) in order to be able to remove the valve from the body... :)

          Not true, it will work.

As far as the space goes, that is part of the adjustment. It is necessary to have a small space there in order for the on/off pin to operate correctly.

If you have trouble removing the valve with a stop installed, simply slide something between the end of the trigger rod and the back of the trigger and pull, the pin WILL go down far enough to remove the valve.
