    drill press and Electronics?

Lately, Ive been doing a bunck of Morlock installs on my guns, and some close friends. I had some Cheap 50.00 drill press, really wasnt the best for drilling eye holes, but it did the job. Now, the drill press has pretty much died off, and I wanna get a new one. I really dont need a top of the line one, just i just want a relitively good one, that i can use for most around the home, and small paintball gun related parts. Any suggestions?

Also, I'd like to Attempt to make my own boards for markers, any places where i can get like a kit so I can start learning?

Ryobi makes a preety nice drill press.

If you wish to learn to program boards take a look at BASIC stamps made by parallax.

these guys sell just about anything you can think of, and usually theyve got both the expensive american parts as well as some generic pieces from china and such (usually not made as well but sometimes the deals are unbeatable) i dont know how much shipping for a drill press would be though

            http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...263&pricetype=

and starting here: this ones got 10 pages of presses.

if you decided to go with the harbor freight matt there is a store somewhere on the east side of nashville. you could see what you are buying that way and they will have some of the other stuff you would need also.

Heey, other Nashvillians! I didnt think there were any more on this place! Cool! If you go with HF, definately go to the store. Their prices are great but the shipping times are horrendous. The Enco website is http://www.use-enco.com, and the MSC (I think that's McMaster) is http://www.mcmaster.com. Ive used Enco and they have a ton of stuff and ship quick. Havent tried McMaster, but they have a good rep from what Ive heard.

I bought a Craftsman benchtop drill press at Sears for $100 a couple years ago. It has served me well.

You can get a similar press at Harbor Freight for a lot less but my experience with them is that they sell "disposable" tools. Seems like every power tool I got from them only lasted a short time. I have since replaced them all with a "name brand" equivalent at Sears. Here are a few things that I've replaced, all within a year. I bought all the replacements at Sears and they still work today after much use.

                    Bandsaw
                    Router & Table
                    Sawzall
                    Drill Press
                    Circular Saw

Harbor Freight is great for some stuff tho. Hammers, sockets, screwdrivers, wrenches, grinder disks, stuff like that. I even buy cheap air tools but expect to throw them away soon. $11 for a die grinder, you can't go wrong. If it breaks, just buy a new one.

Just don't make the mistake of thinking a Harbor Freight tool is going to last forever. There is a reason the stuff is so cheap!
