matrix with angel space frame conversion!

i had some free time and heres what became of it.



i had my angel ir3 that i didnt like and i have my trix that i love.
i wanted a vert frame but i hated the evolve verts for the trix. they look terrible. i liked the ir3 frame so i took the frame off the ir3 and put it on the angel. heres what i had to do.
when you take the frame off the trix the solenoid dips below the body about a half an inch. it sits on top of a huge peice of aluminum. (solenoid manifold), so what i did is i shaved down the solenoid manifold about a half an inch so it was fluch with the body. the frame then fit on to the gun! then i ran into another problem. the gripframe screws are different spaces. so heres what i did. i milled into the grip frame about 1mm. i pout a very thin peice of aluminum in where i milled. this covered the mounts for the matrix screws. i screwed them in. then i only had one screw holding the frame on. i tapped the thin peice of aluminum just barelyso as not to hit the solenoid and screwed in the frame screw. this held the frame on pretty well. mounting the piece of aluminum left noowhere for the solenoid wires to run, but there is conveniently a spot where the cops wire ran so i tore out the useless cops wire and ran the solenoid wire through that. i used some silicone sealant and hooked up the board outside the grip. im still working on mounting the board inside but it worked outside of it and im happy. ill just mount something tonight when i measure it. tell me what you think. its kinda sketchy but it looks cool and its my first project ive done by myself
i realize that it is a differnt color but i dont know how to anno nor do i have the money for it. i can powdercoat but that kinda looks wierd. but i might do it cause my good friend has a powder coater thing that he wil let me use.

well its on the floor of my room needing a new board....the board got fried somehow. i may have someone donating me one so maybe itll shoot again!
ive had a 200 offer for the gun body so if you can beat that its yours!

well the trigger sucked. cuase of the optical board. it chopped and it broke alot....user error maybe? and it was a bit heavy
pretyt much it. i wish i could get it owrking again....cause ive shot some that worked and they were nice...i used mine 2 times and jsut sorta left it under my bed....lol

Thats odd, ive chopped my first ball of 8k, if you ever want some help setting it up lmk, I bet you had cops too sensative, sorry for jacking the thread

Well when I got my ir3, I thought that I would make cops a senstaive as possible. Thinking that it would be more careful to detect balls, well I was completly wrong. When the gun vibrated it closed the cops switch, making the computer think that there was a ball loaded, thus making cops useless. What you need to do is start cops at 1 (least sensative), then run the tcops test (it test to make sure that cops is not under sesative. If it does not detect it, keep moving it up. Then when it eventualy does, move it one more up. Ive used that seting a like I said, 1 busted of 8k.

Then you want to set the BAS. All bas does is set how long the bolt waits before it fires. Similar to what ebalde eyes do. The higher the bas (1-20) the more time it waits, making a chop less likely. I use a revy and have bas set at 12. If you use an egg or a warp feed I would use about 6. It will lower you bps to about 10 with Bas at 6. If you have a halo then you might want to set it at about 2. It will lower the bps to about 14 or close to that and you will chop about one in 25,000. If you have a halo btw, you will need a stiffer ball detent.

EDIT: you might have double feeds too. If thats the case, then a 24$ a4 soft touch bolt is what you need. It increase effeciency by 20% too

a y frame like on mags??? or one like the ones for bushies? i like the idea but it would be newar impossble to do it for a mag. just from the way that the sear is worked into the frame
