Yeah, I say go for it. Mine seems really chinsy, and can't hold the batterys in to the hopper correctly anymore, so I'm forced to put elastics around the hopper to hold the damned thing on. It makes my somewhat expensive purchase look cheap. I w ould most likely buy that, just because its alot better than the plastics ones, and more secure. If I were you i would make a latch, just so its not held in by some plastic things. So, good luck.

till now yes im going to the prototype first and see how it comes out i have and idea on how to make a lid more secure but for that i would need to mold a new evo so for know the lid.Comment

okay guys this is what i came up with so far first i decided to make it aluminum and covers the place in which it attachs to the evo the two little clips with expansive foam that way we don't have any issues with the material eating the other one. What i came up is that i should buy a new plastic one make a mold for it and then mold the aluminum to the exact same shape just having questiong of what type of aluminum to use so is strong plus anyone know at what point does aluminum melts?? after doing it that ill go ahead and do il post pics when doneComment

Aluminum is wierd stuff, im not sure what it burns at but you should be able to find that relatively easily. Aluminum doesnt bend, it breaks. And dont try welding it youll just put holes in it

aluminium does bend, and yes you can weld it. Anyone who knows what they are doing can easily do it. Ive welded pop cans together before, its very hard, but it can be done.
