Well Ive been out of paintball for a long time. Back when i was playing, the RT was new and it was like my dream gun but i didnt have the money to get one. Anyways...I bought a like new RT on ebay a couple of weeks ago and ive been making some cool parts and also planning on some big modifications. I was just going to buy a brand new E-mag and juke it up but you cant get them anymore and the RT pro is just cheap looking.
I have my own Machine shop with state of the art cnc machines and also in house anodizing so making custom parts is nothing new or hard for me. I do it everyday.
Im going to reproduce the heavy stainless steel mainbody out of Aerospace grade titanium and anodize it. It will cut the weight in half. You guys should see this purple that i can do on titanium. Its looks like the coating on mirrored sunglasses. Its prismatic. The best part about it is it only takes like 1 minute to do and is super easy. The down side is that machining titanium is a mother.
I think im going to make a power feed body and also a centerfeed body. Bet you never saw a centerfeed RT body before with all the cool holes at the front. Im going to do all this because i love the way the original RT looks. Ive already milled the inside of the rail to cut down on weight. I drilled the gas thru front grip to lighten it up. Im going to mill the RT logo thru the back of the new titanium body were the valve is at. going to look awesome and also cut down on weight.
My goal in this project is to keep the gun looking the same but make it lighter and full auto electronic. Im going to use an eye with the morlock board
I just got done making my electronic grip frame out of billet aluminun. It has a e-mag solenoid run by a morlock board. The frame is the same exact shape as the orginal frame. One finger trigger baby! Im building this baby to shoot atleast 20 bps with a halo B loader. should be able to do it no problem.
Im going to have a custom tank cover made with a pocket to hold the e-mag battery on top of the tank.
I anodized the gun a beatiful orange to red fade with silver splashs. I love it. Best looking anodizing job ive ever done, just glad it was for me.LOL
Im going to make 2 titanium RT bodies. So that means I will have an extra to sell. Im thinking i will charge around 175 for the body anodized. I wish i could just buy one for 175 because i know its gonna be alot of work..but im willing cause i love my RT
If anybody is interested in turning there RT into what ive just described contact me.
I will post pictures when i get the gun all done.
The morlock board runs the gun awesome. no problems.
