houdy mods?

hello. i was at a paintball place this week end and i shoot a friends automag he said he had sanded down the sear to make it shoot faster. has anyone heard of this being done and if so how do i do it?

Go ahead and do it if you want to spend some $$ on a new sear. The sears are hardened. If you file away the hard outer layer, you'll expose the softer inner core and it'll wear out very quickly. All this 'mod' does is decrease the reliability/life of your sear and therefore the proper functioning of your Mag.

i saw that in the movie. i figured why not try in on a extra sear.

I used steel wool on my old 'mag's sear because it was corroded. It turned a slight gold/bronze color. The sear worked fine for another 3 years, and still works today.
