    Need Help on MacroLine

    Hey

I just got my mag about 2 months ago (heavily used) and it had a vert bottle adapter literally screwed on the rail of the mag (the screw is stripped out but im getting everything new so its just temporary.
When i got the mag, it came with a expansion chamber/gas thru (haven't decided which one it is) and so i needed macrolines for proper adjustments because stainless steel braided hoses were too tight

I took it to a shop (Reactive Paintball "a division of Tagline") and had 4 90 degree gas fittings put on as well as macroline and a dead on universal on off drop put on. When I picked the gun up, the guy said "just make sure the macroline is in"

I gassed it up(co2, i know, i know, its bad, i should get nitro, but haven't had a chance) the hose and the connector started sliding out, and i thought, well its supposed to do that to give a little

    I WAS WRONG

This is the chance for everyone to laugh their heads off

I decided "hey, its a good day for shooting my mag at the trees"
so i gassed her up and started shooting, WITH NO MASK ON

I saw it come out, but it only comes out so far and its stuck that way, so i really can't take out the macroline either (unless im doing something wrong, please let me know)
I started shooting, and then, WHOOOOSH, co2 shot out at me as if someone had shot me with a shocker in the face
Needless to say it left a mark

    Any tips would be appreciated

        Take it back.

Without seeing what happened its hard to say, but just take it back up to the shop, I'm sure they'll fix it back up or undo whatever the did wrong.

You know macro line fittings are similar to those chinese finger traps right.. you pull the hose and it tightens up on it.. to take the hose out you hold the little ring on the fitting down then pull the macro line out..

Did the hose like come out of the fitting a bit or all the way? or did you blow the hose??

And a little heads up.. My friend used to run co2 and macro line and he would have to replace the macro line every time he played because it would leak on him. we then almost striped the threads on his reg trying to install ss hose

Ok, so i went back and tried to see about taking it apart.....to no appeal

So i thought, hey maybe its fixed

            WRONG O!!!

I decided, hey, hook it up, see if it works

The freaking macroline fitting broke and the piece that hold the macroline in had a "tooth" broken off

so, unless it was just a glitch and my paintball store can fix it, im switching to ss hoses

well, if you guys have any ideas for me, they would be appreciated

don't run macro on CO2, it's just not a good idea in any respect. macro and it's fittings have a higher tendency to burst under pressure spikes - something CO2 is very good at doing. They also don't like being chilled, the hose gets brittle when the temperature drops. Liquid CO2 shooting through the hole *will* chill it down and eventually bust the hose.
