My question is, how important is the "hook" on the sear? The part that holds the bolt back until you pull the trigger. The reason i ask, is I have an idea to adjust trigger weight down to a fraction of an ounce on a mech mag, almost simulating a hair trigger, but my idea uses turnbuckles that interfere with the hook.
Is the trigger sear hook needed?

well the "hook" is what catches the bolt on the return..so if u mill that out...massive leakage down the barrel would happen... -

Hmmm..... Maybe I can use another buckle to bring the hook back into play. Another question. What if a roller bearing was installed on the tip of the hook to releive friction. Would it make the pull easier. You know almost like roller rockers on engine heads.Comment
