i know that this has been done but for 60 bucks and 2 hours of work you can have an electronic mag.

i did zap the mads dragun conversion in 2 hours with a belt sander, drill, and a table jigsaw

this was much much eaiser than trying to grind out my y frame with a drill, i was so surprised

i did everything by the few pictures there
