    ANIMATED gun design

ok here's my design, excuse the colours. if anything needs explaining, just ask (a sidenote before any comments, there is a notch for the gas lines in the dark red thing, so that they dont interfere during the firing process)

-trigger actuates 4way, gas pushes the blue pin up, dump chamber vents and ball fires. (dark red thing moving forward is the dump chamber... forgot to show gas...)

-tirgger released, gas redirected to top of pin, forces pin down (line on the bottom of pin is vented through the middle line on the 4way, the dark yellow interrupt is a one way valve to prevent repressurization from there).

-blue pins pull the bolt back (they're like headphone jacks, plug in, hold, pull out).

-last 2 frames show the pins pulling out of the bolt and bolt reset.

-EXCUSE THE MISALIGNMENT ON THE FEED TUBE! i messed up when drawing it, i forgot to correct before i animated it.. its a CLOSED BOLT DESIGN.

-how's THAT slarty? muuuch clearer? (i'l save up on the typing until people start asking...)

so your "headphone jack" pins will be able to counter the strength of the spring (especially during fast cycling)? i find it unlikely, but there is likely a better way of doing it. think magnets, im not sure if they would work better horitzontal "|| ||" (pulling action) or verticle "=" (sliding or sheathing) but they will provide much better "grasp" on your bolt. also, where is your high pressure air?

-wel, if you think about it, the bolt spring doesnt have to be that strong, as it has nothing to counteract, it just needs to move the bolt.
-again, cycle rate should not be too high, the pistol format's limited to 10 shots and a single tirgger.
-what do you mean high pressure air? thats all the air the design uses, eliminates wasted gas. if you say this because of the 4way, the 4way has to be custom built for this gun, no cocker part or whatever can be used. it has to be able to handle either direct 12 gram input or a regulator to pull it down to an appropriate level that will not compromise dump chamber movement.

dude, just trying to help. you might have trouble with high pressure air on those orings in your 4 way.

lol sori if that sounded rude, or menacing, just pointing out what i thought of. and yes that seems to be a common response to the 4way. aside from that, most people comment on the pins, and dump chamber seal/return. thx for the comment though, more input will make my life so much happier... lol
