You can check to see if AGD still has any left, there selling them for 20$ (not black though).. Otherwise you can try and find a used one for sale. Converting your current body would involve taking off the current powerfeed, welding that hole closed, then drilling a new hole in the proper location and weld the powerfeed on there.. you might even need to modify the powerfeed tube as well. And then hand sand and polish it to get a nice finish.

have the body powdercoated black (which, odds are, will wreck tolerances, but them's the breaks) and then use a warp PF plug.

Nope. You'll most likely warp the mainbody and then you'll end up having to buy a replacement.

                warp body?

i have a polished pf hl automag body. i can have it cut down (the feed) and then you can use a 90 degree warp adaptor. i know its not a black body but its better then a grey one. and it would be ready for warp use. the body is at http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=159418. and it is only $22 shipped to your door. its just a thought.
                thanks,
                chris
P.S. AGD had a clear out sall on the aa/mm bodies. they wont be making/selling them anymore. FYI
