    automag trigger frame soleniod

i have carved out the inside of my y frame and have the insides of a drgunfire to work with but the solenoid will not fit- in fact i dont think any soleniod will fit. but im gonna buy a benchmark or simmilar to work with that. i dont want to use the cheapo plasitic frame that i made fit my mag

does anybody know where to buy soleniods strong enough to push a ult'ed mag- and small enough to fit in a tiny trigger frame

    thanks

I used an icon e frame. I had it working on a non ule mag. But I had to run it off of 18 volts.
It worked pretty good but the sear is a little to heavy to trip. I'm waiting on my x valve I'm getting from agd. it should work just fine with the ule.

To answer your question the icons are really cheap guns so I'm sure any solenoid that comes stock with a e marker should be enough with a ule trigger.

I think he's looking for coil sets, not solenoid valves...

I made an electro frame in a ygrip, I used a pneumatic acuator though. I think the right size solenoid would fit. Try solenoidcity.com.

Trains... that's cool... where did you find a pneumatic actuator small enough?

                thanks for the input

Wassupstranger67 - this would work, i was thinking about doing this witha ram and i have one two that puts out about 2 lbs. they are a bit pricy though.
http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...1&page=3&pp=30 -this is where i got the idea to make my own trigger and i know the deadlywind guy made one too, and trains.

right now i was planning on using a smav3 3way from clippard to push the ram and the 3 way would be push by a soleniod in the base of the frame.

what kind of attachments would i need to attach the pnematic soleniods to the cocker type paintball hose its that what airsoldier.com refers to as microline?

the electronic soleniods what what i was reffering to and i got one to fit in my y frame after much work with a angle grinder in my bedroom - my parents got mad about that. unfortunatly its not where it need to be to actuate the sear -the space is too small. i got mine to fit finnaly even though it took 4 hours with misc. tools

heres what i was gonna do unless i can get a pnumatic soleniod

I've got nothing against the way you're doing it, but it takes up alot of room.

think about this. your using a mechanical valve to control the ram, then your using a solenoid to actuate the mechanical valve. that's alot of work, takes up alot of room, and makes for more variables(more places to trouble shoot when there is a problem.)

you should think about using a solenoid valve. it will work better, react faster, be much smaller and easier to set-up and maintain.

remember, you do not need a 4-way, just a 3-way valve, and a single acting air cylinder(ram).

a manifold can be used to attach fittings to a solenoid valve if it does not take them directly.

hose and tubing are two different things. micro line is NOT the same thing.
all you need is 1/8" OD urethane or vinyl hose. it will have a 1/16" ID. clippard sells it, or you can buy it by the foot from a paintball supply store.

yeah dude that's what I did, what the electrician said. Get yourself a solenoid valve. Airsoldier.com has big ones. You can also get littler ones like the ones me and TE use, Numatics TM valves.

My electro-yframe works really well, good luck getting yours running. I was cranking 17bps last week, at 90 psi. Unfortunantly my predator board decided to be gay and quit working randomly. I had to send it back to TAG.

I have lots of 1/16 clear air line, look in my sig.
