    the timmy-mag

ok so my current project is making a mag with timmy frame. i know that i will most likely have to drill the rail a bit and the sear tripper noid i am getting fro ma spyder frame and i will need to mount custom in the frame but i have some questions. is there anything else i will need to do? and is the timmy board capable of powering the sear tripper noid? i figure it is becuase spyders use 9.6 volts and timmys use 9 volts so you know. but anyways any suggestions on my epic project?

    thanks,
    Elijah

Well, I dont know if you are going to be able to use the timmy board because the timmy and spyder boards activate different types of noids. I would say try getting a spyder board.
And a ULT will help you out alot with the solenoid.
    Good luck

I seriously doubt that a timmy board can handle a spyder noid. It draws a lot more current than the timmy noid. Your best alternative is a t-board or morlock I think. Using a spyder frame will save you a lot of work.

i think a timmy board can handle it. those noids run on 8 volts and the spyder ones run on about the same. maybe i will just use a pred board.

It's not about the voltage, it's a question about current. The spyder noid uses a lot more, it could very well fry the board.

alright i see what you are saying but i will not put a spyder board in this gun not even a tboard. i will just go with a pred2 i know it can handle it i have one running on a spider noid right now actually.

as I said a morlock is fine =) (basically the same board as the pred, just smaller and no ramping). I'm using a morlock for my electro-mag project

You could use the timi board to activate the stock 'noid and the use a ram to trip the sear, like tranes are bad did.
