    Pneumatic Assist Pumps...

I've seen Doc's work on phantoms, but could you do the same for a Pump Mag? And it would make it 100% unusable in Stock class wouldn't it?

I have a Pump Mag I'd be willing to lend out if someone thinks they could do it...

You could do that for a pump mag, which would own Unfortunatly it wouldn't be stock class because pneumatic assist isn't stock class. I know how to do it, but i can't do it for you as I don't have any machine tools Good Luck!!!

This is a generalization, I havn't actually done it.

Take off the pump arm and pump rod. Drill and tap a hole for the ram to be mounted where the pump rod slides into the rail. Cut and retap the pump rod so that you can mount it to a ram. Mount the ram in front of the rail, and cut the pump arm so that it slides over the ram. Drill and tap a hole for a 3-way linkage in the rail and set the 3-way going straight out parallel to the ram. Drill and tap a new hole in the pump arm to accomodate the 3-way and fabricate a rod to connect the two. Find a handy place to stash a LPR (off the ASA running the airline up through the grip and then through the rail, or straight off the front of the vertical ASA so it'll be below the pump arm, or whatever)

Done deal. All pneumatic assist is replacing the pump linkage with a ram and linking the old pump arm to a 3-way.

dang! look at the post dates. I just got those instructions today, so you have to give me time to gather my parts, then once i actually get started I'll be sure to post pics of my progress and everything.

BTW, could I use just stock WGP parts? Or will it really make any sort of difference?

Yes you could use stock parts this website is a great resource. You probably won't need any higher performance than stock.

What is the point? to have a CockerMag? The pump stroke on a pump mag is so light you could flick it with you pinky and cock it.
