    At-Home Mods

Boredom of vacation has set in and I wanna do something to my mag that makes it really custom and functional. I'm working on getting a dremel right now but don't have the money for a really nice dremel (hunting trip). But when I do get a dremel what can I do to my mag? Keep in mind I'm a teenager who doesn't know how to put an e-mag internals in a gripframe yet. Is there any mods that I don't need a dremel for that doesn't require a lot of technical work?

thats what it looks like now.

    Thanks alot in advance.

Just READ my friend. Unfortunetly thats all I can say. To me your mag looks GREAT, can you be more specific on what kind of mods you want?? Check out Joni's post and the Electricians and Trains Are Bad's post about their homemade mods.

A Dremel is a GOOD start, TRB and Phishphen both used it on their guns.

Catch me on AIM if you want at Duck Hunt AGD

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

I read around but everything sounds way too complicated to me. Like putting emag internals into a mag frame sounds alot, and making a pneumatic trigger looks like rocket science to me. Maybe im not thinking hard enough.

Well, unless you can name some, I'd say your gun doesn't need any mods. My RT ULE works perfectly without any mods (except trigger stops).

You're probably thinking to HARD Send me an IM ( Duck Hunt AGD ) or email me and I'll explain whatever you need.

Yeah your mag looks great, I cant think of any mods you could do to make it even better.

Unless you want to do a pneumag or electromag conversion. It isnt that hard of a concept. A pneumatic mag is pretty much taking the front block of a cocker, but instead of the ram recocking the gun, it pulls the trigger for you. You hook the 4way up to the trigger Of corse you dont need nearly as big of a ram as a cocker does, so you can fit it all inside a frame.

There are three ways you can make electromags:
You can take a spyder grip frame and modify it to fit on a mag,
You can make a grip frame similar to a spyderframe by putting a solenoid, a board, and a 9 volt inside the frame,
Or you can make an electropneumatic mag by pretty much using the same ram thats in the pneumag, but instead of a 4 way, you use a solenoid valve, a board, and a switch. It's the most complicated out of all of them

For something easy, try the spyder frame conversion. Do a search, there are some people who have already done it

Yes and no, the Pneumatic mod and the Electro mod have one same premise: To have SOMETHING else do the work of the trigger.

In the Pneumatic mod its a RAM or ACTUATOR.

In the Electric Mod its a Magnetic Solenoid (Like Joni's) or a RAM powered by a AIR SOLENOID (Like Trains Are Bad)

And in the Pneumatic Mod its a 3 WAY, not a 4 way

Why cant you use a 4 way? A 3 way would mean you would have to use a spring returned ram which would be slower I think :/

I'm working with Duck Hunt as of now to get a pneu-mag in the works. What advantages would there be to use a 4-way? and what would it use to actuate the ram (still going on the pneu-mag idea)

Those 3 ways are rated at a HUGE cycle per second time, much faster than any hopper can load thats for sure

                      trade

I'll trade you that Mag for a nice Tippmann 98, and you can dremel the hell out of it and have all your fun.

Then I'll just use that beautiful Mag as is...

The return is accomplished by the on/off. Absolutely no reason to power a ram to acheive the return. Only a single acting ram is required.

Similarily the Emag solenoid is only single acting......

I was thinking about spyder mag. I was gonna get an ion then do the spydermag, but recently my dog had to get stitches and the vet bill wasnt cheap. So what I'm gonna do is get a spyder frame ( i found one for $30), and do all the work myself, with help from Duck Hunt. I want to keep my I-Frame and viperblade, because if the spyder frame doesnt work for some reason.
